Hello, I’m Helene, and I’m so glad you’re here.
Welcome to my little suburban home in Missouri.
I don’t believe home is defined by its size or location. Whether you live in a city apartment, a beach condo, a cabin in the woods, a suburban neighborhood, a farm in the country, or travel the country in an RV, every home has the potential to become a place of peace, comfort, and wonderful memories.
For me, that love of home began long before Rosemary Thyme.
My mother’s family were farmers, and I believe where I inherited my love of gardening. There’s something deeply satisfying about planting a tiny seed, watching it grow, and bringing fresh herbs and vegetables into the kitchen. Even today, my garden is one of my favorite places to spend time. My Father’s family were bakers and owned a large bakery in St. Louis. My father loved to cook and make his “gourmet” meals.
My husband, Dennis, is a professionally trained pastry chef who studied at The Culinary Institute of America. Together we’ve spent many years sharing a love of cooking, baking, and creating meals that bring people together around the table. Some of our favorite conversations still happen in the kitchen.
My son Zach has loved to grill since he was young. He has become our Rosemary Thyme Grill Master. He loves experimenting with different spices to give the meat and vegetables that he grills wonderful flavor.
Here at Rosemary Thyme, you’ll find healthy, affordable recipes, practical kitchen wisdom, gardening, family traditions, and quiet moments of encouragement. My hope is that every visit leaves you inspired to enjoy your own home a little more, cook one more meal from scratch, or gather people you love around your table.
