🌿 HOMEMADE CATALINA DRESSING 🌿

Sweet, tangy, and gently smoky, this homemade Catalina dressing is perfect for taco salad! It has all the flavor of bottled dressing but is fresher, lower in sodium, and easy to adjust to your family’s taste.

✨ Easy to Prepare
 💛 Budget-Friendly
 🧂 Lower-Sodium
 🌿 Onion- and Garlic-Free

INGREDIENTS

• ½ cup no-salt-added or low-sodium ketchup
 • ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
 • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
 • 1–2 tablespoons honey, or your preferred equivalent of Swerve
 • 1 teaspoon smoked or sweet paprika
 • ½ teaspoon chili powder
 • ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
 • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
 • 1–2 tablespoons water, as needed
 • 1 teaspoon finely snipped fresh chives, optional

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a small bowl or jar, combine the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, honey or Swerve, paprika, chili powder, Dijon mustard, and black pepper.
  2. Slowly whisk in the olive oil until the dressing is smooth and well blended.
  3. Add water, one tablespoon at a time, until the dressing reaches your preferred consistency.
  4. Taste and adjust as needed. Add another splash of vinegar for extra tang or a little more sweetener for a sweeter, traditional Catalina flavor.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to blend.
  6. Stir or shake well before drizzling over taco salad.

Store in a covered jar in the refrigerator for up to one week.

This colorful homemade dressing turns a simple taco salad into something special—and you probably already have most of the ingredients in your pantry! 🥗❤️
