🍅🍂 The Last Tomatoes of the Season
My kitchen is looking a little like a tomato nursery these days! I’m gathering as many tomatoes as I can before frost arrives and spreading them out on cookie sheets to finish ripening indoors.
Some are still green, others are turning golden orange, and a few are already beautifully red. It’s such a pleasure to bring in these last little gifts from the garden and enjoy the harvest a little longer.
And yes… I can already see a pot of roasted tomato soup in my future! A warm bowl of soup, a slice of crusty bread, and a cool autumn evening sound just about perfect. 🥣🍞
