As we continue celebrating the 250th anniversary of our country, this simple farmhouse-style salad reflects ingredients that would have been common on early American tables.

Apples from the orchard, sharp farmhouse cheddar, garden greens, and toasted nuts come together with a light honey cider dressing. It’s fresh, simple, and the kind of salad that reminds us how wonderful basic ingredients can be when they’re treated well.

🌿 Rosemary Thyme Kitchen Tip

Cutting salad greens into bite-size pieces helps the dressing coat the leaves more evenly so you need less dressing overall — one of the simplest ways to make salads taste brighter and lighter.
